Serenity Park Lodge

Rivers South Safaris operates out of the beautiful Serenity Park Lodge on the South Island of New Zealand near Fairlie. Serenity Park Lodge is a 5,600 square feet 5-star Hunting and Fishing Lodge. Mark and Pam Waite designed and built the lodge with clients in mind. From the moment you enter Serenity Park Lodge, you know as a hunter and fisherman that you are welcome. A magnificent trophy Bull Tahr and huge Rainbow trout are also in the entrance to greet you.

A new building, Serenity Park Lodge was built in 2008 and consists of three large guest bedrooms each with super king sized beds and private bathrooms. There is under floor heating and heated towel rails in all the bathrooms. The lodge has a central heating system throughout and radiators in all the bedrooms which can be individually controlled for your personal comfort. One of the bedrooms has been built with a disability and wheel chair bath room. There is a 4th upstairs guest room with its own downstairs bathroom which also has under floor heating and a heated towel rail.

Clients have described the views from every room in the Lodge as simply stunning and magnificent. For quieter times, there is a formal lounge with a library. The lounge and dining room is of open plan with a large open wood fire that has been built from local river stone rocks. Clients can sit in front of the fireplace and relax around while they enjoy New Zealand cheeses with a cold New Zealand beer or a glass of wine.  Serenity Park Lodge offers a good selection of red and white wines.

The Trophy & Games room has a Pool Table, Wet Bar, Satellite TV, DVD player and a collection of DVD’s all available for clients use. There is a good collection of Mark and Pam’s New Zealand hunting trophy animals throughout the Lodge.

We offer washing, drying and ironing facilities as well as hairdryers for our guests. A landline to landline telephone that is available to use when calling U.S.A., Canada, Great Britain and Australia. High speed wireless internet is available for your convenience at the lodge so bring your laptop. The use of these facilities are available free of charge to all Rivers South Safaris clients.

Meals 

During your Safari, the delights of Pam’s healthy wholesome New Zealand country style cooking await clients. The menu includes New Zealand lamb, grass fed beef, pork, chicken, fish and venison served with fresh vegetables and salads .Deserts such as Death by Chocolate, Lemon Meringue Pie, Butterscotch Pie and the New Zealand renowned Pavalova is sure to tempt your taste buds. Complimentary beer and wine complete the dinner meal. If special dietary meals are required be sure to let us know as we can cater for these if requested.
